I.C.E. KILLS AGAIN!

FASCIST THUGS EXECUTE SECOND PERSON IN MINNEAPOLIS

Just this morning, the fascist goons of “Immigration and Customs Enforcement,”
assaulted and executed a man in South Minneapolis, marking the second fatal shooting by
ICE in the city within just one month. Eight ICE agents piled onto the man, kicking him,
punching him, and forcing him to the pavement before drawing their guns and shooting
him at least a dozen times in just a few seconds while onlookers cried out in horror, as
seen in footage circulating on social media. This comes only one day after the first
general strike in the US since 1946 was launched to protest the ongoing occupation of
Minneapolis by ICE-DHS, mobilizing thousands of workers in resistance to the Trump
regime’s fascist terror.

While preliminary reports allege the man was armed, ICE-DHS has repeatedly spun wild
stories about “justified self defense,” against “assaults on federal agents,” which directly
contradict both witness testimony and video evidence. Renee Nicole Good, too, was
accused of attempting to ram agents with her car despite clear evidence she was turning
away from the agents when ICE killer Jonathan Ross shot her at point blank range. But
even if the man was armed—reporting also indicates he was a lawful gun owner with a
permit to carry—it does not change what we saw in the video: the ICE gestapo attacked
this man, threw him to the ground, and gunned him down in the street. The responsibility
for the violence lies squarely at the feet of the Trump regime, whose fascist ICE-DHS are
waging a campaign of kidnapping, killing, and terror against immigrant communities in
Minneapolis and across the country.

While Republican politicians ghoulishly and openly cheer the slaughter, the Democrats
hem and haw about “better training and”safer recruitment practices” for ICE. We ask:
better training for what? To kill us and kidnap our friends and neighbors?! Better
recruiting for what? To find the best kidnappers and murderers in field?! Even
Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, despite posturing against the Trump regime,
has said loudly and clearly that he does not support abolishing ICE, and Democratic
Governor Tim Walz has mobilized the National Guard in response to protests. The
Democrats have shown not only that they will not defend us, but that they wish to
actively aid and abet the fascist thugs who murder us for the simple act of speaking up
for our neighbors, their children, our friends, our communities!

What is to be done? What is to be done when ICE and DHS parade around our cities and
kidnap, brutalize, and murder our neighbors, our friends, and our family members IN
BROAD DAYLIGHT with NO CONSEQUENCE? Minneapolis has shown us the way
before: ESCALATE! Push the federal thugs and any spineless collaborators deceitful and
vicious enough to side with them out of our communities! Reject calls for reform—smash
ICE and all those who fund, support, and orchestrate their murderous invasions! Rally in
solidarity with the working people of Minneapolis!
