On Saturday, November 1st, the "men's march to abolish abortion" is coming back to Boston. Like last year, and every year before, they plan to gather in Allston, outside of our city's only Planned Parenthood clinic, and then march downtown, wearing their fascist little suits and robes and chanting about the evils of women's healthcare, transgender people, and the "radical left," accompanied the whole time by an armed honor guard of cops assigned to them by our very own mayor Wu.
And like last year, and every year before, we plan to be there, to fight back against the growing attack on our democratic rights each step of the way. We know that the struggle against fascism can only be won in the streets, that relying on the law or the politicians -- democrat or republican -- will only make things worse. It's mayor Wu's cops that brutalized us at the men's march last year, just like it was Biden's presidency that lost us Roe v. Wade, just another face in a long line of sell-out democrats doing their duty by protecting the interests of the rich and powerful while working people pay the price.
If you believe, like we do, that working women have a duty to fight for our freedom and stand up to fascism, then we need your help. We need to mobilize a mass resistance to the men's march, and to all the attacks on working women, and we can only do that by taking our message directly to the people.
We're setting up street teams that can agitate, raise awareness, and unite everyone who can be united in the struggle against the far right. Join us on Saturday in Jamaica Plain for our first outing and help us build the antifascist women's movement. Together, we can confront the men's march with a broad front of working class resistance!
